You are invited to join us with other
churches in Chardon and the surrounding communities for
an ecumenical worship on Sunday, January 22nd, at 4pm.
The format of worship will be from the
Taizé Community, an ecumenical brotherhood
in France.
Over 100,000 young people from around the world make
pilgrimages to
Taizé each year for prayer, Bible study, sharing, and
communal work. Through the community's ecumenical
outlook, they are encouraged to live in the spirit of
kindness, simplicity, and reconciliation.
The quiet, reflective, harmonious setting of the Taizé
worship service is individual and personal. Join us on
Sunday, January 22nd, at 4pm at Celebration Lutheran:

"The Wise-men were led to behold and to follow this daystar
of divine Science, lighting the way to eternal harmony."
Science and Health
with Key to the Scriptures
page vii:10
|
Jesus comforted mankind with the familiar promise,
"Ye shall
know
the truth and the truth shall make you free." (Holy Bible KJV, John 8:32)
In that same spirit of the Comforter, Mary Baker
Eddy wrote nearly two millennia later, in
Science and Health with Key
to the Scriptures,
"Divine Love always has met and always
will meet every human need." In 1866 she had
turned to the Bible as she lay on what the local doctor
declared was her deathbed. A devout student of the Bible
for many years, the Scriptures spoke to her more clearly than
ever before that day. And, she rose from the bed
completely healed to the astonishment of the grieving friends
in the next room. From then on, she determined to
dedicate her life to understanding and sharing the Truth that
had 'set her free.' She named this discovery "Christian
Science" which she defined as "... the law of God, the law of
good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule
of universal harmony." (Rudimental Divine Science, page 1) |
Hundreds of thousands have sought their own freedom and salvation
since that time through studying her writings which illuminate the
Scriptures' spiritual meaning. Christian Science
is entirely
based on the Bible. The textbook that Mary Baker Eddy
wrote, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, has revealed and clarified the truth that
Jesus indicated would set mankind free. This book is
a spiritual guide to help seekers learn to pray more deeply and
effectively. It explains man's true relation to his Creator as
set forth in Chapter 1 of Genesis. It is totally Christian in
full agreement with the teachings of the Master and his Apostles. People have turned to Christian Science seeking healing of physical,
mental, relationship and financial problems for over 125 years.
Healing is the natural outcome of spiritual growth.

May Christ dwell in
your hearts by faith and
May ye be rooted and grounded in love.. |
For this cause I bow my
knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the
whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant
you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened
with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell
in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in
love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the
breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love
of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with
all the fulness of God. Now unto him that is able to do
exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according
to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church
by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.
Amen. (KJV Eph. 3: 14-21) |
